Andre 3000 from the hip hop duo Outkast is free on bond after police charged him with driving 109 mph on a highway in suburban Atlanta.
Atlanta authorities say the entertainer was clocked at a speed of 109 in a 65 mph zone south of Atlanta early Saturday.
The 33-year-old's real name is Andre Benjamin was released on a $1,200 property bond pending a court date April 29.
Benjamin's publicist did not return a call seeking comment.
Police say Benjamin told them he was going so fast because he missed an exit and had to turn around.
